He was struggling in the traditional classroom because he didn’t speak English and needed more time to grasp the lessons. Thankfully, Ms. Fraser was his teacher, became his tutor, and she made all the difference. Being bilingual and deeply understanding of what new immigrant families go through, she took the time to teach John English while also making sure he stayed on track with his grade-level work.
